Character history- [NOTE] Since the Aiheap twins are only in the Movie, The First Strike, and one sidequest in the PS3 version of Tales of Vesperia, a lot of headcanon was involved in the making of their pre-movie history, and in filling in the gaps left between the movie and the start of the game, and then throughout the game and whatnot. So yeah, just a warning. Much headcanon abound, and anything mentioned here that involves any of the other characters already played in digital dive have been cleared with the players of those characters beforehand. :)

Hisuka Aiheap was born as the older of a set of twin girls in that town with a giant tree barrier, Halure. The twins grew up relatively peacefully in this place, only put into any real danger once a year when the tree barrier would weaken, and most of the village would have to risk their lives in order to drive the monsters away from their peaceful little town. For several years, whenever this would happen, Hisuka and her sister, Shastere, were forced to go and run and hide in the house they lived in. And every year this would happen, the girls would watch from a window as their friends and family went head to head with the monsters invading the village. Hisuka felt helpless.

So, one year when she and Shastere were ten years old, Hisuka decided she wasn't going to run. Instead, when the monsters started to make their way toward the village and the villagers were shepherding the children into their respective safe places, Hisuka turned around, shook her head, and told them no, that she wanted to help. And before anybody could grab her and force her inside, she grabbed the nearest sturdy stick she could find and ran at the monsters.

But, headstrong little Hisuka soon found out that the monsters were more than a match for a child who had no background in battle, and who had never been so close to one before. Luckily, as one of the monsters was about to hurt her, she was saved by a Knight who had come to Halure on his knightly pilgrimage. The knight defeated the monster and brought the little girl back to her family. Hisuka then realized two things:

1. She wasn't currently strong enough to help protect her friends and family.

2. She was going to become a knight, just like the one who had saved her, in order to become that strong.

The Knight ended up staying in Halure to help protect it until the barrier was stronger, and Hisuka and Shastere ended up spending a lot of time with him when they weren't hiding from monsters. Hisuka took a real interest in the life of a Knight, and was even showed how to properly swing a sword, and a few stances. Even after the time had come for that Knight to leave, Hisuka would often be seen under the tree of Halure, swinging around a stick and pretending she was practicing swordsmanship. She proclaimed that she was going to become a knight, and she was going to come back and help protect the people she loved once she became one. Shastere agreed to come with her. The girls rarely ever did anything without each other, of course.

As the girls grew up, Hisuka's resolve to become a knight never wavered. Eventually she did become skilled enough as a teenager to help her friends and family fight when the barrier weakened, but she knew she and Shastere both had a long way to go before they were able to do anything.

At the age of 17, Hisuka and Shastere left their humble hometown of Halure in order to pursue knighthood in the city of Zaphias. They arrived in the capital and instantly went to sign up. While the girls had no trouble signing up, they were constantly teased for the fact that they were women in a primarily man-dominated field, but they quickly shut up those who were skeptical by rising through the ranks. By the time the girls were twenty, they were among the higher ranking knights in the brigade of one Captain Niren Fedrock.

It was at this point that the girls met two young men who would become very important in their lives; Flynn Scifo and Yuri Lowell. The two boys were young recruits in the Imperial Knights, and were placed directly under the supervision of Hisuka and Shastere upon joining Niren's brigade. Flynn was the kind of guy who stuck to the rules, followed every order, no questions asked. Yuri, however, was a bit on the wilder side. He did what he thought was the right thing to do, even if it went against orders.

Hisuka herself ended up working more with Yuri, especially when Niren's brigade was called out to a small town called Shizotania to help solve a problem with the monsters nearby. The two of them butted heads easily, but despite that, in time they grew to care a lot about each other. This led to a short-lived relationship betwen the two.

Shizotania itself is a story all on its' own, though, and is a very integral part of Hisuka's history. While in Shizotania, it became apparent that the problem with the monsters near the city going haywire was being caused by an abnormality in the aer surrounding the area. In order to help alleviate the issue, Niren sent Flynn to the capital in his stead to ask for backup, while he and Shastere went to seek the aid of one Rita Mordio, a young mage who was an expert in blastia and aer as a whole. This left Yuri and Hisuka in Shizotania, waiting for the return of their captain and comrades while trying to maintain some semblance of peace within the village.

Unfortunately, peace wasn't on their side. A brutal monster attack affected a caravan and a few other of the villagers who were outside of Shizotania at the time, and Yuri and Hisuka, along with the remainder of the brigade and the lead attack dog, Lambert, went out to help the innocents defend against the attack. While they were successful in saving everybody, another problem arose as Lambert went to investigate an odd monster within the forest. Yuri, Hisuka, and everybody else went after him.

The monster itself had unfortunately taken possession of Lambert while Lambert was investigating on his own, and the end result was death, blood, and a near-successful attack on Hisuka that caused Yuri to jump into action and kill Lambert for the sake of freeing him from that monster.

Niren and Shastere returned that night, and heard about what had happened. Shastere spent that night comforting her traumatized sister.

Despite the emotional damage she had been through, Hisuka had to keep going. Flynn returned later on, and relayed the news that their request for reinforcements had been denied until after the event in Zaphias was over. Niren, worried that they couldn't wait that long, made the call to investigate a place that could have been causing all of the aer abnormalities. At first he was met with protests from Flynn, who thought that going against the orders to wait until reinforcements arrived could get them all killed, as his father was for much of the same reason. Niren argued that his decision was final, however, and that they could save a lot of innocent lives by going against orders in a case like this.

The next day, the brigade set out. They investigated the area, and, after finding the cause of the aer abnormalities and having a few pretty epic battles, they were on their way out ... when the place started to collapse. Niren was holding an unconscious Shastere at the time, and, upon seeing that the collapse was starting to drag him down, threw the unconscious knight to Yuri. Yuri handed her over to Hisuka and frantically started trying to find ways to save their Captain. Niren, however, knew that his time had come, and gave his brigade some final words of encouragement, and gave Yuri his bodhi blastia before demanding that they save themselves and get out of there before the entire place went under.

Following the death of Captain Niren, everyone was emotional, but continued to move on for the sake of their leader. A funeral was enacted for the fallen Captain. Hisuka and Shastere helped with both preparation and were at attendance at the funeral to pay their respects to Captain Niren.

Shortly after, Yuri left the Imperial Knights, finding that he had his own feelings about justice and that his ideas clashed with that of the Imperial Knights. He and Hisuka broke off their relationship when she found out he was leaving. It would have been more difficult to keep it up if they weren't going to be seeing each other as often. So, even despite how heartbroken she was, Hisuka put on a happy face and waved goodbye to him as he left.

As if that hadn't been enough, Shastere had been having some issues of her own. She felt that she wasn't an adequate enough Knight, and she felt as if she were at fault for Captain Niren's death, since he managed to save her before he died. Shastere decided to take a small leave of absense from the Imperial Knights in order to clear her head and see if being a Knight was what she really wanted to do.

Between losing some of the most important people in her life, Hisuka's mood was at an all-time low, and in order to take her mind off of things, she delved into her work. So much at times, in fact, that her fellow Knights had to force her to take breaks from her job, even if she insisted she was okay and still going strong.

Shastere came back to the knights a month later, and things started to slowly start returning to normal. Hisuka and Shastere went back to Zaphias with their brigade, and continued on with their Knightly duties for the next four years. Sometime within those four years, Hisuka and Shastere became captain and co-captain of their own Brigade, while Flynn rose through the ranks and became prominent enough to be captain of his own brigade as well. The girls ran into Yuri every so often, some of those times to throw him in Jail for something he'd done (which infuriated and frustrated Hisuka to no end, but then, she had never been able to really keep a handle on that guy, had she?).

For a period of time, the girls didn't see either Flynn nor Yuri. But then, one day, they were out looking for a sword that had been stolen by the late Commandant Alexei, when they ran into the boys again at Nor Harbor. They enlisted their help in finding the thing, and that was the end of that.

Hisuka and Shastere returned to Knightly duties once again after that brief meeting with the boys.

Character personality- Between her and her sister, Hisuka is the older one. She's also the more headstrong, impulsive, "mean," (in the words of one Yuri Lowell) and devious one. Sure, she's no stranger to following orders. In fact, to be in the imperial Knights, you kind of have to thrive on that. But she also has strong feeling and opinions when she doesn't believe that orders have been made in the best interest of the people they're protecting, even if she doesn't vocalize them often. She has a strong sense of Justice, a strong sense of right and wrong, and a strong desire to protect what's important to her.

As for what's important to her? The first and foremost important person in her life is her sister, Shastere. She and her sister have been together since birth, and since then, they've rarely been apart. Despite the fact that they are so close, however, the twins identify themselves as two separate people. Even still, whenever Shastere isn't around, it affects Hisuka. Hisuka's friends, family, and people who are innocent overall are the people that Hisuka wants to protect the most in this world, and she'll jump headfirst into any situation that could potentially harm people she cares about if it means that she could aid in keeping them safe.

Hisuka is a little more awkward than her sister when it comes to social situations. She's friendly enough, but she's also got more of an attitude and a temper, which, if talking with someone just as hardheaded, can result in Hisuka losing that temper of hers. Even despite this, she does have a way of making friends. Somehow.

Hisuka tends to take things pretty hard when depressing situations happen. She also has a tendency to try and hide how hard she's taking it when things like this happen. She forces herself to work through it, and prefers to cry in private ... though when shit hits the fan badly enough, no fucks will be given and she will wear her heart on her sleeve, fully displaying emotions that will fit for whatever's going on.

Also, let it be known that her sister has bigger boobs than she does, and Hisuka totally has a complex about how small her boobs are in comparison. Trufax.

Digimon personality- [NOTE] To be on the safe side, I got the permission of our former Awkward Kamemon player, Caryl, to use the Awkward Kamemon as Hisuka's partner. :)

So, who remembers that little awkward turtle that used to show up in your most awkward situations? The little Kamemon who tripped under that tree you were sitting in with your ex-boyfriend? That little Kamemon who's ice cream dropped off of the ice cream cone it had while you and your boyfriend awkwardly found yourself in the same hotspring? That little Kamemon that always seemed to be there in time to catch you at your most awkward?

That Kamemon finally has a tamer. And he's still awkward.

But just because he has a tamer now doesn't mean he's going to stop showing up in your most awkward of moments, too.

On the subject of Awkward Kamemon's personality, though, the best thing to say about him is that he's ... well, Awkward. He's a clumsy little thing, always dropping things, always tripping over things, even his own feet. He's actually fairly intelligent. He's just incredibly awkward.

The awkwardness of this turtle expands to even his social skills. He can talk, but he chooses not to a lot of the time, because he is generally very awkward in social situations. He is the most awkward awkward turtle to ever awkward, and it's a trait that makes him kind of endearing.

Other qualities of the Awkward Kamemon include the fact that he just doesn't get angry often. Whenever he does, he might actually yell. But then silence happens, crickets chirp, and the moment is made into something incredibly awkward.

Again.

Awkward Kamemon is actually a pretty lonely little guy. He's so awkward that he has a hard time making friends, which is why he's very awkwardly happy that he finally has a tamer. Maybe, just maybe, his tamer will be someone who can show him how to be unawkward and expand his social skills, so that he can finally make friends on his own!

... or maybe his tamer will be just as awkward as he is.

Yeah, just his luck. It's the latter.

This Awkward Kamemon will forever continue to be Awkward.

Character abilities- As an Imperial Knight, Hisuka has been well-trained and practiced in the art of hand-to-hand combat. Though she is primarily a sword-user, she may have been trained a little bit in a variety of weapons, including the bow and arrow and perhaps even blastia-operated firearms. As a result of being a swordswoman, she's able to use various sword artes. She and her sister are also different in the fact that they are able to use healing and defense artes, making the two of them an extremely valuable addition to any team.

To learn more about the exact sword and healing/defense/light artes that the girls will be able to use in digital dive, please refer to this page right here.

It should be noted that while Hisuka is strong on her own, a lot of her power comes from use of a bodhi blastia. In her own world, blastias have been rendered virtually useless in order to defeat the adephagos, but she will still have her bodhi blastia on her when she arrives in the digital world, and will eventually learn how to use it again by using digisoul as a substitute for aer. So she'll be a bit awkward with her artes at first, but eventually she'll be able to get up to that limit of an adult level digimon by way of using digisoul with the blastia she has.

Sample RP-
She had been told before that if she were in a place she didn't recognize, to stay where she was and do what she could to call for help. Hisuka had never been someone who could sit still and just wait to be saved. She wasn't a damsel. She was a soldier. So, she ignored that advice and was now wandering around the area she had suddenly found herself in.

In one hand, she held her sword. In her other hand, she held the device that she had found in her hand when she had awoken. She had already tried, and, as far as she knew, succeeded in placing a call out to her Brigade of some sort. She hadn't had any response, but she knew that if Shastere had heard it, she would find a way to get to her. Just as she was finding a way now to get back to her, and to their group. Even if it took a little effort ... or more than a little.

Nearby, a turtle walked, trying to keep up with her as best as his little legs would allow him. Hisuka had originally been skeptical of the little guy, but he didn't seem to be harmful in the least, and he was good company, even if he remained quiet. He was kind of cute, actually. She noted that he seemed very shy and had a tendency to trip over anything that came in his path. More than once, Hisuka had stopped, knelt, and tried to pull him back to a standing position. She was about three more trips away from gathering the little guy in her arms and carrying him with her. Really, it was endearing to watch him trip so much, but at the same time it was kind of painful.

"I can't make heads or tails of this place," Hisuka said aloud to him, talking to him as if he could understand her. As far as she could tell, he could. He nodded at times, shook his head if he disagreed, and overall seemed to be responsive to her awkward attempts at conversation.

"This doesn't look like anything I've ever seen ... I haven't been to this region of Terca Lumireis before. You're a native here, though, so I'll bet this isn't nearly as confusing for you."

The Kamemon tripped and landed on his back, flailing about a little. Hisuka couldn't help but laugh at the little thing, sheathing her sword and placing the other thing in her hand, whatever it was, on her arm using the strap. She knelt down and lifted him into her arms.

"Okay, let's keep going. I don't think tripping as often as you do is going to help either of our cases in the least."

Sample journal entry- [AUDIO]

Is it on? I think so ... Hey. Is it on? Can you tell?

[ silence. whoever she's talking to doesn't seem to be answering. ]

Was that a nod?

[ more silence. ]

... okay, I think that's a nod.

We don't ordinarily use anything like this back home, but I suppose anything is worth a try. This is Vice Captain Hisuka Aiheap of the Imperial Knights, Aiheap Brigade. I've been separated from the rest of my Brigade, and I'm attempting to see if either Captain Shastere Aiheap or any of my Brigade will hear this. If not, I would like information on the nearest outpost to my current location.

... I don't currently know what that location is, exactly, but once I figure it out, I'll update.

Please, any information at all would be helpful and appreciated. Thank you in advance.
